Rwanda showcases progress in digital service delivery to World Bank Regional Vice President
On Thursday, November 20th 2025, the Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA), together with the Chief Executive Officer of Irembo and the Minister of ICT and Innovation, Hon. Paula Ingabire, welcomed Dr. Ndiamé Diop, Regional Vice President for Eastern and Southern Africa at the World Bank, for a high-level engagement on Rwanda’s digital transformation journey.
The visit provided an opportunity to highlight Rwanda’s progress in scaling digital public service delivery through the Rwanda Digital Acceleration Program (RDAP). Discussions focused on how the program is strengthening digital public infrastructure and enabling next-generation platforms that improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of government services for citizens and businesses.
Leaders underscored the role of strategic partnerships in advancing Rwanda’s vision for a digitally enabled public sector. Through RDAP, Rwanda continues to expand the reach and quality of online services while reinforcing trust, accountability, and user-centered design across public institutions.
As part of the visit, Dr. Diop was presented with a live demonstration of Irembo Artificial Intelligence, an emerging suite of artificial intelligence-powered tools designed to enhance how users interact with digital services. The solution enables service managers and citizens to navigate services using natural language guidance, while supporting optimized workflows and faster service delivery.
The engagement reaffirmed the World Bank’s continued collaboration with Rwanda in accelerating digital transformation and leveraging innovation to deliver inclusive, efficient, and people-centered public services.
