RISA showcases Rwanda’s innovation ecosystem at Africa Tech Summit Nairobi 2026

The Rwanda Information Society Authority RISA participated as part of the Rwanda delegation at the Africa Tech Summit Nairobi 2026, held from February 11–12, 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya. The summit brought together key players from across Africa’s technology ecosystem to connect, collaborate, and explore opportunities to scale innovation.

During the summit, RISA showcased innovative solutions developed under the Hanga Hubs project, an initiative funded by the European Union and designed to support Rwanda’s growing innovation ecosystem. Among the featured innovators were BAM Agro-Vet and Green Energy Technology Ltd (GET), who gained valuable exposure, established strategic connections, and engaged directly with investors and ecosystem leaders across the continent.

The two day event featured high level discussions and insights across critical sectors, including fintech, artificial intelligence (AI), telecommunications, and digital infrastructure. It also provided a platform for meaningful exchanges with investors and partners, reinforcing Rwanda’s position as an emerging hub for digital innovation.

RISA’s participation as part of the national delegation highlights Rwanda’s continued commitment to fostering a vibrant innovation ecosystem, empowering startups, and building strategic partnerships that drive sustainable growth.

Through initiatives such as Hanga Hubs, RISA remains dedicated to advancing digital transformation and supporting innovators to scale impactful solutions. The summit reaffirmed that the future of Africa’s technology ecosystem is collaborative, investment-ready, and globally competitive.
