RISA Launches Show & Tell Series to showcase digital innovation driving Rwanda’s transformation

The Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA) has launched its Friday SHOW & TELL sessions, a weekly knowledge-sharing platform designed to showcase ongoing projects, digital solutions, guidelines and innovations across the institution and strengthen collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

The inaugural session, held on Friday, 16 October 2026, focused on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Digital Signatures and Stamps, highlighting their role in enabling secure and trusted digital transactions.

PKI is an information security system designed to support trusted digital interactions. It uses digital signatures to establish digital identity, authenticate signatories and support non-repudiation, helping ensure that electronically signed documents can be trusted. Its implementation is supported by a framework comprising applicable laws, regulations and policies, certification authorities, and users. In Rwanda, this includes the relevant ICT, cybersecurity and data protection legal frameworks, alongside the Root Certification Authority (RURA) and the Government Certification Authority (RISA).

By supporting secure online transactions, digital signatures and stamps contribute to the shift from traditional paper-based processes to faster, smoother and more accessible services, enabling people to access services without unnecessary physical visits.

The SHOW & TELL sessions will take place every Friday at 11:00 AM, bringing together RISA staff and, depending on the topic, colleagues from other sectors and public institutions. The platform will provide an opportunity to share projects, demonstrate tools and systems, present guidelines and policies, discuss lessons learned, and exchange ideas that can benefit others.

Through this initiative, RISA continues to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration while advancing its commitment to championing Rwanda’s digital transformation.
