RISA has been honored with the Emerging Corporate Recognition Award at CompTIA Sub-Saharan Africa Partner Awards Gala
The Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA) has been honored with the Emerging Corporate Recognition Award at the CompTIA Sub-Saharan Africa Partner Awards Gala, held on October 9, 2025, in Johannesburg, South Africa. This prestigious recognition celebrates Rwanda’s significant progress in advancing national digital transformation and nurturing a future-ready digital workforce.
CompTIA (the Computing Technology Industry Association) is a leading U.S.-based organization established in 1982, renowned globally for its IT certifications and training programs. Today, CompTIA partners with more than 400 organizations worldwide, supporting digital skills development and innovation.
RISA’s recognition underscores the Government of Rwanda’s strong commitment to digital transformation a journey fueled by visionary leadership, guided by the National Strategy for Transformation (NST2) and Vision 2050 and a grounded in the belief that technology serves as a powerful catalyst for inclusive and sustainable development. In particular, NST2 emphasizes the importance of building digital capacity among public servants and citizens, with ambitious goals of training one million coders and 500,000 individuals in advanced ICT skills to drive Rwanda’s digital economy forward.
The award was presented to Ms. Viviane Kamanzi, Commercial Attaché at the Rwandan High Commission in South Africa on behalf of RISA in presence of Mr. Jason Moss, CompTIA’s Senior Vice President for Europe & Africa.
Through the partnership with CompTIA, RISA has successfully supported the training and certification of over 150 public sector professionals across government ministries and agencies. This initiative has strengthened digital competency within public institutions, ensuring that digital transformation is underpinned by a capable, innovative, and future-ready workforce.
RISA’s collaboration with CompTIA will continue to strengthen the digital competencies of IT staff in the public sector, foster professional growth, and align the Rwandan workforce with emerging global technology trends. By championing skills development and promoting trusted digital innovation, RISA remains at the forefront of the country’s mission to build an inclusive, knowledge-driven society, where technology serves as a catalyst for sustainable growth.
This milestone not only celebrates RISA’s achievements but also reaffirms Rwanda’s position as a regional leader in digital transformation and workforce readiness setting a benchmark for excellence and collaboration across Sub-Saharan Africa.
