On May 23^rd, 2024, RISA staff gathered at the Career Center to celebrate Labour Day which is usually celebrated on May 1^st. The event was filled with engaging activities, delicious food, and a special awards ceremony for the first time in RISA’s history, all aimed at appreciating the hard work and dedication of RISA employees.

The day kicked off with an inspiring speech by our Chief Financial Officer Mrs. Jane BATETA who highlighted the importance of labour and the invaluable contributions of each staff member. She also emphasized the role of gathering staff in such events as to nurture team work and networking among employees. The speech set a positive tone for the day's celebrations, emphasizing the company's commitment to recognizing and rewarding hard work. Team-building activities followed, providing a fun and interactive way for employees to bond and strengthen their collaboration skills. The lively atmosphere was complemented by delicious meals and drinks for everybody to enjoy.

The highlight of the event was the first ever award ceremony, where the best professional and ethical employee of the year 2024 was announced by the Chief Executive Officer and awarded a certificate. The prestigious award went to Mr. Edson Mugabo – the Infrastructure Analyst from the Infrastructure Operations and Support Division recognizing his exceptional dedication, skill, and outstanding contributions to the team.

While awarding the best performer, the CEO of RISA expressed his gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the entire team, highlighting the celebration of their efforts. He announced with great pleasure that Mr. Mugabo Edson had been chosen to be the Best Performer of the Year 2024, acknowledging the latter’s exceptional contributions and unwavering commitment as a benchmark for all. He congratulated him and thanked him for his remarkable efforts, encouraging the team to continue achieving great things together.
