Hanga Hubs celebrate successful completion of the 2025 startup Incubation & Talent Development Program
From 6 to 7 November 2025, Hanga Hubs across the country celebrated the completion of the 2025 Startup Incubation and Talent Development Program, marking an important milestone in Rwanda’s innovation ecosystem. The events took place in Nyagatare, Muhanga, Rubavu, and Rusizi Hanga Hubs, bringing together innovators, partners, and local leaders to recognize months of hard work, creativity, and growth.
Across all hubs, young innovators have been using workspaces, machines, digital fabrication tools, and tailored mentorship to transform their ideas into prototypes, and their prototypes into market-ready solutions. The celebrations highlighted the confidence and readiness of these emerging entrepreneurs as they take the next steps in their innovation journeys.
The completion sessions in Nyagatare and Muhanga on 6 November started and was followed by Rubavu and Rusizi on 7 November. These events built on the momentum of the incubation program, which officially kicked off earlier in Huye and Musanze. In every hub, the program has brought together dynamic founders passionate about solving real-world challenges through technology, creativity, and community-driven impact.
Throughout the program, trainees engaged in months of hands-on learning, gaining crucial skills in 4Ds metrics, business planning, pitching and presentation techniques, go-to-market strategies, financial modeling, and essential digital competencies. These included computer literacy, data analysis, Internet of Things (IoT), digital fabrication, and emerging technologies, equipping participants with the tools needed to grow and scale their ideas sustainably.
This year’s completion events honored 93 startups (72 male-founded and 21 female-founded), each receiving Startup Certificates, and 150 innovators who earned Course Completion Certificates.
The celebrations were attended by district authorities, the Private Sector Federation (PSF), local universities, MTN Rwanda, Airtel Rwanda, ICT Chamber and other key partners who continue to champion grassroots innovation in their communities. Trainees expressed heartfelt appreciation to partners including RISA, the ICT Chamber, Nyagatare, Muhanga, Rubavu, and Rusizi Districts and especially the European Union in Rwanda, whose support has been instrumental in empowering young innovators and strengthening the Hanga Hubs ecosystem.
With each cohort, Hanga Hubs continue to cultivate a vibrant pipeline of future-ready entrepreneurs, strengthening Rwanda’s digital and innovation landscape and inspiring young people to build solutions that drive national transformation.
